The dataset consists of video recordings made for the ethnographic documentary 'Gbaya. Beekeeping and Honey Hunting' (Gruber 2015). The film portrays practices of traditional beekeeping and honey hunting with honeybees (Apis mellifera adansonii) in the Adamaoua Region of Central Cameroon. The film follows an accomplished beekeeper on a beekeeping excursion in the savanna landscape near the city of Ngaoundéré. Together with his family members, the beekeeper demonstrates the manufacturing of a traditional beehive from palm leaves and grass, the harvesting of honey from such a hive as well as the salvaging of honey from wild living honeybees. Ethnographic film was perceived here as an ethnographic research method in the sense of participant observation with a camera (Henley 2000). The archived material provides all the video footage on which the film is based. The material consists of footage of a beekeeper at work, as well as contextualizing interviews with the protagonist. The beekeeper gives important information about his practice and situates it as an element of Gbaya culture. Traditional beekeeping and honeyhunting are presented as economically and culturally significant activities that afford a high degree of manual skill and embodied knowledge.

Der Datensatz enthält Transkripte und Zusammenfassungen von qualitativen Interviews mit öffentlichen und privaten Gesundheitsdienstleistern in superdiversen Wohngegenden aus dem Forschungsprojekt The Welfare Bricolage (UPWEB). Die Studie untersuchte den Zugang zu und die Nutzung von Gesundheitsdienstleistungen - formelle und informelle Beratungs- und Behandlungsangebote - durch Personen in superdiversen Wohnvierteln. Zudem wurde untersucht, wie unterschiedliche Gesundheitsdienstleister die Bedarfe nach Gesundheitsfürsorge durch die umgebende Wohnbevölkerung identifizieren und ansprechen. Die Wohngegenden rangierten von sozial benachteiligten Vierteln bis hin zu solchen mit beginnenden Gentrifizierungstendenzen. Die leitfadengestützten Interviews fokussierten auf die Perspektive der Gesundheitsdienstleister auf Herausforderungen und Bedarfe, auf lokale Probleme und Strukturen der Gesundheitsversorgung sowie ihre versorgerische Rolle, und dauerten zwischen 30 Minuten und 2,5 Stunden.
