QualidataNet's Role in the DDI Scientific Board
As a member of the DDI Scientific Board, our representative brings the perspectives and needs of the qualitative data community to the highest level of DDI governance. This role ensures that the unique challenges and requirements of qualitative data are considered alongside quantitative data standards in DDI's scientific work plan.

Reporting on the Qualitative Data Working Group
During the meeting, our Scientific Board member will deliver a report on the activities of the Qualitative Data Working Group (QDWG). Established under the Scientific Board, the QDWG focuses on:

  • Supporting and promoting the use of DDI products and standards among organizations working with qualitative data
  • Enabling ways for documenting and preparing metadata for qualitative data reuse
  • Formulating recommendations on extending DDI products and standards to appropriately describe qualitative data
  • Developing best practice guidelines and use case documentation
  • Conducting outreach to encourage qualitative data organizations to join the DDI Alliance and use its standards

About the DDI Alliance
The DDI Alliance is an international standards organization that develops and maintains metadata standards for social, behavioral, and economic sciences.
